Dear Grandbaby,
We are so excited to know that you are on your way :) I am not sure that I was prepared to be somebody's Grandmother, but I am sure that your Mommy and Daddy are prepared to start and family - and we are all so excited to have you here...
I am your Daddy's mother...my name is Bev (Beverly Jean Cottrell Patient), though what you will one day call me is anybody's guess, but for now, I am going to sign my name "Mama Bev"...if you come up with some other title, I will adjust:)
I am writing this book to you because I want you to always know just how precious you are, and how much you are loved. I want you to know that even though you may be far from us in location, you are always near in our hearts.
I never really knew my grandparents - three of them died before I was born and my Grandma Connelly died when I was 15~before I realized just how much I want to know from her...so just in case you ever want to know...
Before we know if you are a boy or a girl...before we begin marking the milestones of teeth & sleeping, walking and talking...before there are any expectations on you to "be" something...know that you are loved just for being :) you and that won't change with time.
You are precious and you are loved...and we are so blessed to have you in our life...
